Microneedling in Oswego, IL

The classic collagen induction treatment, done right — with PRP add-on for clients who want more.

Microneedling is one of the most-requested and most-effective treatments in modern aesthetics — and one of the most variable in quality across practices. At Hello Gorgeous, microneedling is performed by trained staff using FDA-cleared medical-grade devices, under Ryan Kent, FNP-BC's oversight. For clients who want more dramatic results, we offer PRP (platelet-rich plasma) as an add-on. For clients with deeper laxity or texture concerns, we discuss whether Morpheus8 Burst (RF microneedling) might be a better fit. The right treatment is the one matched to your skin — not the one that maximizes our margins.

What is Microneedling? How it works

Microneedling uses a precision device with tiny medical-grade needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. The body responds by producing new collagen and elastin to heal those micro-injuries — over the following 4–8 weeks, your skin rebuilds itself smoother, firmer, more even in tone. The treatment is effective for fine lines, mild texture issues, mild scarring, large pores, and overall skin quality improvement. Depth is customized per area — finer settings around the eyes, deeper settings for scar treatment. Adding PRP (platelet-rich plasma drawn from your own blood and applied during treatment) accelerates healing and amplifies collagen response.

Pricing & packages

Standard microneedling starts from $250 per session. Microneedling with PRP starts from $450 per session. Most clients see ideal results from a series of 3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart. We offer package pricing that brings per-session costs down. Exact pricing at your free consultation.

What to expect at your appointment

  1. Free consultation — we assess your skin, discuss goals, decide whether microneedling, microneedling with PRP, or Morpheus8 Burst is the best fit.
  2. Pre-treatment: topical numbing applied for 20–30 minutes. If adding PRP: blood draw and spin-down to isolate plasma.
  3. Treatment: 30–60 minutes including numbing. You'll feel pressure rather than sharp pain.
  4. Recovery: 1–3 days of redness similar to a mild sunburn. Avoid sun exposure, exfoliation, and active skincare for 5–7 days.
  5. Series: ideal results from 3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Maintenance every 6–12 months.

Frequently asked questions

How is microneedling different from Morpheus8 Burst?
Both use needles to trigger collagen response, but Morpheus8 Burst adds radiofrequency energy delivered through the needles into the deep skin layers. That makes Morpheus8 Burst significantly more powerful for laxity, deep scarring, and body contouring. Standard microneedling is gentler and better for fine lines, mild texture, and overall skin quality. We discuss which is right for you at consultation.
What does microneedling treat?
Fine lines, mild texture issues, mild acne scars and other scarring, large pores, dull skin, mild hyperpigmentation, overall skin quality improvement. Not the right tool for deep wrinkles or significant skin laxity — those are better served by Morpheus8 Burst, Solaria CO2, or other treatments.
Should I add PRP?
Depends on your goals and budget. PRP amplifies the collagen response, speeds healing, and produces somewhat better results. For clients with mild concerns, standard microneedling is often enough. For clients with more scarring or significant texture work, PRP is worth the additional investment.
Does it hurt?
With topical numbing applied for 20–30 minutes before, most clients tolerate it well. You'll feel pressure and mild discomfort, but it shouldn't be sharply painful. Forehead and around the mouth are more sensitive areas; we adjust settings and speed as needed.
Is there downtime?
1–3 days of redness similar to a mild sunburn. Most clients return to work the next day. Avoid sun, exfoliation, and active skincare ingredients for 5–7 days.
How is this different from at-home rollers?
At-home rollers don't penetrate deeply enough to trigger meaningful collagen response, can spread bacteria, and don't allow the customization we use in-office. The marketing makes them sound similar — the results are not.
