Dysport in Oswego, IL — From $14/unit
Botox's faster cousin. Often the right choice for forehead and 11s — and we publish the unit price.
Dysport is a neuromodulator in the same family as Botox — it temporarily relaxes the muscles that cause expression lines so the skin above them smooths out. The differences are subtle but real: Dysport kicks in a day or two faster, tends to spread slightly more across the treated area (often making it the better choice for larger zones like the forehead), and is priced per unit at $14. We carry it because some clients respond better to Dysport than to Botox, and we want you to have the option that works for your face.

What is Dysport? How it works
Dysport works the same way Botox does — by temporarily blocking nerve signals to specific facial muscles. When the muscles relax, the lines they create soften. The mechanism is identical; the difference is in the formulation. Dysport's protein structure spreads slightly more from the injection point, which makes it especially effective for areas where you want diffuse smoothing (like the forehead). For very targeted spots — like a single deep line between the brows — Botox's more concentrated effect may be the better tool. The right answer depends on what you want to address. We'll help you decide.
Pricing & packages
Dysport is $14 per unit at Hello Gorgeous. Dysport doses are calculated differently than Botox — you typically need 2–3 Dysport units to equal the effect of 1 Botox unit. So a forehead treatment that might be 12 Botox units could be 30–36 Dysport units. The total cost often ends up similar between the two — we give you exact unit recommendations and total cost before we inject.

Frequently asked questions
- What's the difference between Dysport and Botox?
- Same family, slightly different formulation. Dysport kicks in 1–2 days faster (most clients see full effect at 5–7 days, vs. 10–14 for Botox) and spreads slightly more from the injection point. That spread makes Dysport often the better choice for the forehead, where you want diffuse smoothing. For very targeted spots like deep 11s, Botox may be more precise. We carry both and help you choose.
- How is Dysport priced?
- Dysport is $14 per unit. Dysport doses run higher than Botox doses (typically 2–3 Dysport units to equal 1 Botox unit), so the total cost per area is often similar to Botox even though the per-unit price is different. We'll calculate your full cost at the consultation.
- How long does Dysport last?
- Most clients see Dysport last 3–4 months, similar to Botox. Some report it lasting slightly longer for them; others find it slightly shorter. Individual metabolism matters more than the brand.
- Will I look frozen?
- Not with conservative dosing. Frozen looks come from over-treatment, not from the choice of neuromodulator. Our philosophy is dose conservatively first, have you come back for a touch-up if you want more, rather than over-treat and have you stuck with too-stiff results for 3 months.
- Can I switch from Botox to Dysport?
- Yes. There's no waiting period required between brands. We do recommend waiting until your previous Botox has fully worn off (around 3–4 months out) so we can assess your baseline muscle activity accurately before dosing the Dysport.
- Is Dysport safe?
- Yes — FDA-approved for cosmetic use since 2009, with a strong safety record. Same risk profile as Botox. Injection by a licensed provider using authentic product (which we always use) is the key to safety.
