How fast does it work and how long does it last?

What are the common side effects?

In trials (1–5%): eye redness, irritation, dry eye, blurred vision, eye pain, headache. Most are mild and short-lived. Not for everyone — requires a consult.

Is it used with Botox / Dysport / Xeomin?

It is commonly discussed as a rescue for tox-related eyelid ptosis while neurotoxin settles. Your injector at Hello Gorgeous decides if it is appropriate.

Who should not use Upneeq?

Not for congenital ptosis or mechanical ptosis. Caution if you have narrow-angle glaucoma, uncontrolled hypertension, or take MAO inhibitors. Full medical history is required.

What is Upneeq®?

The first & only Rx drop for droopy eyelids.

Upneeq (oxymetazoline hydrochloride ophthalmic solution 0.1%) lifts the upper eyelid quickly — no surgery, no downtime. Often discussed when clients look tired even when they are not. Results vary.

Clinical note

Upneeq contains oxymetazoline 0.1%, an alpha-adrenergic agonist that stimulates Müller’s muscle. When Müller’s contracts, it helps the levator muscle lift the eyelid. No cutting, no stitches. FDA approved July 2020 · Rx only.
